Job overview

As a MAT Dispatch dispatcher you own a small book of trucks. You are the person the driver calls first and the broker negotiates with — the load only moves if you made it work.

You will work load boards and direct broker relationships, hold a rate floor, plan trips around hours of service and home time, and handle the paperwork chain from rate confirmation to invoice.

  • Prepare and chase rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs and invoicing paperwork.
  • File detention, layover and TONU claims when the load qualifies.
  • Keep the CRM and load records accurate so weekly earnings reports are correct.

Role FAQ

About this role

Do I need previous trucking experience to become a dispatcher?
It helps, but it is not required. We hire people with strong communication and organisation skills and train them on load boards, rate negotiation and paperwork through our internal training programme.
Is this role remote or on-site?
Both are possible. The role is based at our Dallas, Georgia office, and we also hire remote dispatchers who can cover US business hours reliably.
What hours does a dispatcher work?
A standard full-time schedule aligned to US business hours, with a rotating on-call arrangement so drivers always reach someone.
How is dispatcher performance measured?
By the results on your desk: rate per mile against the market, empty miles, on-time pickups and deliveries, driver retention and paperwork accuracy.
